



BoCoPreps.com player of the year Kai Modica leads eight players from the BoCoPreps coverage area on the Colorado High School Activities Association’s all-state boys lacrosse team.
Modica, leading the attack for Fairview, was named to Class 5A’s first team after he had 49 goals and 28 assists for the Knights, who won 11 games this past spring, earning a first-round bye in the postseason. Teammates Hook Dancy (28 goals, 10 assists), a midfielder, and D/MF Alec Diamond (7G, 10A), meanwhile, were honorable mentions.
Erie also had three players make the 5A list, led by LSM Braylon Englehart (11G, 9A) on the second team. Goalie Luke Foley (203 saves on 335 shots against) and MF Tyler Keating (9G, 3A) were honorable mentions for the Tigers, who won the 4A title in 2024 then reached the postseason in their first year in 5A.
Other 5A HMs included Boulder A Luke Nathan and Monarch MF Tommy Roberts. Nathan had 38 goals and 31 assists for the Panthers, who finished 8-7. Roberts had 30 goals and 10 assists as the Coyotes reached the opening round of the postseason.
No players from Holy Family or Jefferson Academy made the 4A all-state team. The Tigers finished 8-7 and reached the postseason. The Jaguars went 4-8.
