Frances Greenberg

Frances Greenberg z”l passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on April 10, 2022 from complications due to Parkinson’s disease. She was an accomplished artist and very active in Jewish philanthropic work – notably she was president of the Jewish Community Foundation of the East Bay and first female president of the Jewish Federation of the East Bay. She was also very active in various activities at Temple Sinai in Oakland. She was predeceased by Aaron Greenberg a”h, her beloved husband of 62 years. She is survived by her long time loving partner, Donald Chaiken. Her loving children Zell Nathanson (Neil) and Bruce Greenberg (Lorelei) also survive her. Proud Grandmother of Elisha Fischbein (Michael), Ben Siepser, Sean Greenberg (Avishka), Bobby Joe Zeiberg and Isaac Greenberg (Morgan). Loving Great Grandmother of Brett and Kacey Fischbein. Donations should go to the Rabbi’s discretionary fund at Temple Sinai Oakland.
