For Inland Empire Cal State campuses, it’s time to start saying goodbye.

Cal Poly Pomona got this year’s commencement season underway with a Friday morning ceremony on campus.

Seniors in the Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture became graduates in the first of 12 ceremonies that conclude Sunday.

Also Friday, Cal State San Bernardino began its graduations with an afternoon event. Jubilant seniors walked across the stage at the Toyota Arena in Ontario in two graduations, with three more scheduled for today.

At Cal Poly Pomona, the university plans to award two honorary doctorates.

Retired Rep. Grace Napolitano will receive hers at the 8 a.m. graduation Sunday.

Aerospace engineering alum Mike Huggins, a longtime supporter and industry adviser for the College of Engineering, was similarly honored at two Friday commencements.
