McDonald’s is bringing back Snack Wraps, a popular item from the past, and that’s not the only thing the fast food giant has on its plate.

Snack Wraps are white meat chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla. McDonald’s will be serving two kinds, Spicy and Ranch, at prices about $2.99 each, according to a news release.

After an 8 a.m. preview at 1133 N. La Brea Ave. in Los Angeles, Snack Wraps will go on sale throughout Southern California at 10:30 a.m. today.

McDonald’s originally launched the handhelds in 2006 and discontinued them in most restaurants a decade later.

Snack Wraps come just two days after McDonald’s began serving a Spicy McMuffin on its breakfast menu. It features an egg and cheese splashed with McDonald’s Spicy Pepper Sauce. Variations include a Spicy Sausage McMuffin and a Spicy Sausage McMuffin with Egg. They will be available while supplies last, according to representatives.

Other limited-time items include a S’mores McFlurry, vanilla soft serve mixed with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows, available through Aug. 11.

Lil McDonald’s Happy Meals also are available while supplies last. Each meal features one of 21 toys depicting McDonald’s culture. They include tiny Golden Arches.

The chain will be celebrating the Happy Meals with another special event, according to representatives.

The Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal + Experience will take place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Santa Monica Place. The event will feature themed play zones such as a Chicken McNuggets-inspired ball pit and “oversized photo ops.” It will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. Details are on the shopping center’s website, santamonicaplace.com.

The address is Space No. 112, 395 Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica.
