A’s sell out season tickets >> The Athletics should expect to play in front of packed houses at Sutter Health Park this season.

The team announced Friday that it has sold all its season tickets for home games inside the 14,000-seat venue in West Sacramento. It’s unclear, though, how many season tickets the A’s were selling in those packages.

The A’s say single-game tickets and single-game luxury suites go on sale next week. The team’s home opener is set for March 31 against the Chicago Cubs.

Fans get lifetime bans >> Major League Baseball has banned two fans who interfered with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts during a World Series game at Yankee Stadium from attending any games at big league ballparks.

MLB sent a letter to Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen this week informing the fans that if they are discovered at any MLB park or event in the future, they “will be removed from the premises and subject to arrest for trespass.”

In the letter, which was first reported by the New York Post and later obtained by the Associated Press, the league said the fans “posed a serious risk to the health and safety” of Betts and “went far over the line of acceptable fan behavior” on Gleyber Forres’ pop fly into right field foul territory in the first inning of Game 4.

The Yankees called the behavior “egregious and unacceptable” and said the two fans were not season ticket holders.
