



DENVER >> Noel Marte hit a two-run homer, Austin Hays added a pair of solo drives and the Cincinnati Reds beat Colorado 6-4 on Saturday to send the Rockies to their 13th loss in 14 games.
Colorado lost its fifth game in a row and is 4-22, the worst 26-game start in franchise history. The Rockies have been outscored by 62 runs.
Hunter Greene (3-2) struck out eight, allowing three runs and seven hits in six innings.
Emilio Pagán got his second save of the series and seventh in eight chances. He allowed a two-out RBI double in the ninth to Adael Amador on a ball that skipped past center fielder TJ Friedl, then struck out Brenton Doyle.
Friedl had three hits for the Reds, who have won three in a row after losing five of seven. Marte has 12 hits and 12 RBIs in 27 at-bats since April 20.
Phillies 10, Cubs 4 >> Jesús Luzardo pitched six effective innings, and Philadelphia stopped a five-game slide with a victory over Chicago.
Luzardo (3-0) allowed two unearned runs and three hits in his first win since April 4. The left-hander has yielded two runs or fewer in five of his first six starts.
cardinals 6, Brewers 5 >> Nolan Arenado homered off Trevor Megill in the ninth inning, giving St. Louis a win over Milwaukee after the Cardinals wasted a five-run lead.
Ryan Helsley (1-0) entered with a 5-3 advantage but blew a save for the second time in six chances. Isaac Collins singled leading off the ninth and Jackson Chourio, who had four hits and three RBIs, followed with his sixth homer on a first-pitch slider.
Twins 5, Angels 1 >> Ty France doubled, singled and drove in a run as Minnesota matched its season high with 13 hits and beat Los Angeles for the Twins’ fourth win in five games.
Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel bruised his right knee when he fouled off a pitch in the fourth inning and needed assistance when he left the field. He was replaced by a pinch hitter.
Guardians 5, Red Sox 4, 1st game >> Steven Kwan hit a tiebreaking single in the sixth inning, lifting Cleveland over Boston in a doubleheader opener for the Guardians’ sixth win in seven games.
With the score 4-4, Brennan Bernardino (1-1) hit Will Wilson with a pitch starting the sixth, Angel Martínez singled and Austin Hedges sacrificed. With the infield in, Kwan blooped an opposite-field hit that nicked off Trevor Story.
Tigers 4, Orioles 3, 1st game >> Spencer Torkelson hit his eighth homer, Javier Báez had three hits from the ninth spot in the batting order and Detroit defeated Baltimore in the first game of a day-night doubleheader.
