Resident of San Jose

Henry W. Tillman (Tillie), 105, died in his sleep at his longtime residence in San Jose on December 4th, 2024.

Tillie was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his son Doug and his daughter Lynne. He is survived by daughters Jean, Ellen, Laurie &Carol.

Tillie was involved in the United Methodist Church growing up and was the last charter member still attending the Alum Rock United Methodist Church. He continued to attend church regularly on Sundays until his death.

Tillie loved to Square Dance, although he had to give up dancing in 2018. He had lots of friends in the Square Dance Community.

Many of them knew he had a sweet tooth and would bring him treats to eat when he was visiting on dance nights.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 2PM at the Alum Rock United Methodist Church on 30 Kirk Ave, San Jose, CA 95127.
