Barbara Louise Layton Forsberg, Mar 1, 1930 -May 17,2023, has passed peacefully in her home with family. Barbara was born to parents Peter Layton and Birdella (Du Vall) Layton as the youngest of eight children. Barbara loved and lived most of her life in Santa Ana, CA. She attended St. Joeseph’s Grade School and graduated from Marywood High School in 1948.<br><br>Barbara married Francis Lee Forsberg in 1954 and started her family of ten children. As a loving mother she was focused on her family with seven sons and three daughters. After raising her family, Barbara worked for the County of Orange as an administrator in Social Services, retiring in 1995. She was a long-time participant in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at St.<br><br>Anne’s School. Barbara was an active member of St. Anne’s Church in Santa Ana-involved with several prayer groups over the years and volunteering to serve and minister in many different capacities. Barbara will be remembered and missed for her kindness, positive attitude and loving/giving heart. Barbara was predeceased by husband Francis, sons -James and George.<br><br>She is survived by her children Ann, Lee, Douglas, Robert, Thomas, Katherine, Birdella and Kristopher along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass and Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 9:30am at St. Anne’s Church in Santa Ana, CA.<div></div><br>
