Airplane noise
In response to those who tell me to move if I don’t like the airport noises, it’s a little difficult, since I chose the location of my home on the eastern border of Longmont, over 6 miles away from the airport. I don’t have a problem with the airport. I have a problem with the airplane noises and pilots who choose to repeatedly fly over high-density neighborhoods and parks miles away from the airport. Longmont residents like me who did not choose to locate our homes next to the airport should not be subject to the incessant droning of private aircraft buzzing their homes and parks miles away from the airport. Pilots, please show some courtesy to your Longmont neighbors and choose flight patterns over agricultural areas while avoiding homes and parks.
Thank you
I want to give a thank you to Bianca at the Longmont utility billing department. She helped this old senior lady step-by-step to get my auto-pay account reregistered per their new requirement due to their new web portal. Thanks so much, Bianca.
Computer access
To readers who may not have access to computers or the internet, please be aware that both are free at our amazing Longmont Library. There is a dedicated space for using the free computers and a helpful person dedicated to teaching and assisting users. It is a very underused asset the city has provided.
No baseball?
I’m calling in regard to your Sports section for Wednesday. … I am 74 years old, and I’ve been a subscriber to your paper since we moved out here 17 years ago. And though being involved in social media, I also enjoy reading a newspaper, which includes the Sports section. In all my years, I have never had a daily paper issued with not one word of baseball during the baseball season. Not one word of anything. Your paper has become disgusting. You keep on raising prices, and I’m going to stop my subscription. Enough is enough with you folks.
