Can we just admit we have taken this “anyone can grow up to be president” thing just a bit too far?

Well, now we have cuts to the EPA, which means the Clean Water Act. Lake Michigan won't have funds to battle Asian carp or zebra mussels. Now, Trump is after the wildlife bill. Let's shoot animals in national parks and from aircraft. He sure is making America great again.

I'm concerned about the autocratic style of President Trump's governing. I fear he would start a war, both as a distraction and as a way of bullying other nations. His bombastic style reminds me of other dictators of the past.

“We the people” of Indiana are being taken for a ride. It seems we have no representation. There is more than $1 billion in the so-called rainy day fund, but Indianapolis would rather put more taxes on us for infrastructure and roads. I'm tired of special-interest groups killing viable ways to raise needed funds for this work. Open up this state for Sunday liquor sales. If one man can get liquor sales on the lakefront, why can't we as a whole get the taxes from Sunday liquor sales?

Contemporary version of The Three Stooges: Trump, Pence and Ryan.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb's statement on the use of the cigarette tax increase shows that he is a public servant concerned with the health and welfare of Indiana citizens. The Indianapolis supermajority thinks that roads will keep them in power, but roads don't vote; people do. So ask the voters if they want you to address health or roads with this tax, rather than just digging into $2 billion in the state stash or maybe the super majority might get slashed. The ACA wasn't repealed, and Indiana's HIP 2.0 may need that revenue.

The president has said he will “drain the swamp.” It looks more like the sewer has backed up into the White House.

It didn't take long for Sen. Todd Young to show he can be bought and paid for — in the amount of $28,670 — and voting to allow internet providers to sell individual private, personal information. Todd, you should have asked more for your vote. Mitch McConnell received over $200,000. You got short-changed, sucker. Be a man and donate your payoff to Meals on Wheels.

Trump is a rubber stamp for the Republicans. He will sign anything as long as he gets to grin for the camera. Shame on the GOP for putting party before the country. Hopefully, voters are paying attention for the midterm elections.

Attention all Gary teachers: In order to save the district from financial woes, the latest thing brewing is to “adjust” salaries. Thank goodness the superintendent just inked her new deal. May I be the first to suggest a strike?

Devin Nunes canceled all House Intelligence Committee meetings on Russia. Someone should tell Trump the strings on his puppet are not supposed to show.

I just read that nationwide there are only 75,000 coal mining jobs left but there are 650,000 renewable energy jobs. When will our Twitterer realize the future is in wind, solar and biofuels and that coal jobs are not coming back?
