Seventeen local teams made the North Coast Section volleyball playoff field, which was unveiled Sunday afternoon.

Sonoma Academy and Roseland University Prep both earned No. 1 seeds in their divisions, while Windsor, Montgomery, Cardinal Newman, Vintage and St. Vincent all earned top-five seeds.

The Jaguars earned the 5 seed in Division 1, which also features Rancho Cotate as the 14 seed and Petaluma as the 16 seed. This is the second year in a row that the Trojans have been seeded as a low seed in Division 1 after winning the Vine Valley Athletic League title.

Cardinal Newman earned the 2 seed in Division 2 behind University-San Francisco, which finished the year ranked No. 9 in the NCS.

Vintage, the reigning NCS Division 4 champion, is up in Division 3 this year as the 3 seed.

Sonoma Academy is the top seed in Division 4 with Montgomery as the 2 seed. Neither team has ever won an NCS title in volleyball.

Roseland University Prep, one of the most consistent small-school programs in the area, is the 1 seed in Division 5. The Knights have also never won an NCS title in volleyball.
