Jeanne Cahill passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025 after a short illness. She was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, one of seven siblings. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio. She then toured with Liberace throughout the United States and Canada tutoring Scotty Plumber, a child musician who performed with Liberace. Afterwards, she moved to San Francisco where she met and married William (Bill) Cahill. Jeanne and Bill moved to Marin where they raised their family. She served on multiple non-profit boards. She loved to attend concerts at the Jazz Center, San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Opera. She was an active member of the Lagunitas Country Club. She played competitive tennis for many years. She loved watching professional tennis and attended the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. She loved to travel, including multiple trips to Europe, South and Central America, Canada, Alaska and Japan. She enjoyed winter ski trips to Sugar Bowl and summers in Yosemite.

Jeanne was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a bright light for her many, many friends. She was a second mother to many of her friends' children, particularly helping any who were experiencing challenges in their lives. She adored her five grandchildren, and the feeling was mutual. She was kind, funny, positive and enthusiastic. She was the perfect combination of sweetness and strength.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Cahill; her sons, Robert Cahill, William Cahill, Jr., and John Cahill; her daughters-in-law, Evan Cahill and Sylvia Cahill; her grandchildren, Campbell, Hadley, Liam, Aerin and Wells, and her siblings, Patty Doliboa, Eddie Jamison, Debbie Frain, Shirley Jamison and Nancy Jamison.
