SANTA CRUZ >> The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, announced their training camp roster as they prepare for the 2024-25 NBA G League season. Camp began Monday and runs through Nov. 7.

Santa Cruz, under the direction of second-year head coach Nick Kerr, hosts the Valley Suns in its season opener season at Kaiser Permanente Arena on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.

Three two-way players from Golden State are in attendance: guard Reece Beekman (6-foot-1, 198 pounds) out of University of Virginia, guard Pat Spencer (6-3, 205) out of Northwestern, and Dutch center Quinten Post (7-0, 250) out of Boston College.

Santa Cruz has one other center in camp, and he’s another 7-footer, Seth Maxwell (7-0, 240) out of Indiana Wesleyan, who was selected in the 2024-25 G League Draft on Saturday.

Two other draft picks are on hand, forwards Devine Eke (6-8, 205) out of Radford and Tommy Rutherford (6-8, 240) out of UC Irvine.

Including Beekman and Spencer, the Warriors have nine guards in camp. They held the returning rights to five of them: Yuri Collins (6-0, 190) out of St. Louis, guard Jimmy Whitt (6-3, 175) out of Arkansas, Marcus Burk (6-3, 205) out of IUPUI, Joey Calcaterra (6-3, 180) out of UConn, and Armon Fletcher (6-5, 205) out of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Two other guards in camp include affiliate player Blake Hinson (6-7, 235) out of Pittsburgh, and Tyrell Roberts (5-11, 175), who advanced from a local tryout after being named a first-team all-West Coast Conference selection for San Francisco last season.

Including Eke and Rutherford, the Warriors have six forwards in camp. They held the returning rights to three of them: Javan Johnson (6-6, 198) out of DePaul, Kevin Knox II (6-7, 215) out of Kentucky, and Canadian Jackson Rowe (6-7, 210) out of Cal State Fullerton. Affiliate player Donta Scott (6-8, 230), out of Maryland, rounds out the camp roster.

Fletcher, who turns 29 on Nov. 19, is the oldest player in camp. Beekman, who turned 23 on Oct. 8, is the youngest.
