The California RedTails (5-4) are scheduled to host the Bay Area Marauders in a key midseason Bay Area Collegiate League baseball game at College of Marin on Thursday.
The RedTails beat the Marauders, 6-4, at University of San Francisco on Monday as Branson School grad and Beloit College freshman Kaden Gustafson hit a two-run single to score Redwood High grad Gavin Soper and Kai Reynolds, sparking a four-run eighth inning rally for California.
The RedTails engaged in a marathon doubleheader with the Marysville Giants on Tuesday. The first game was halted with the RedTails leading 12-11 in the 10th inning. The Giants won the second game 1-0.
• The San Rafael Pacifics (28-12) continue to look for their lucky charm against the Dublin Leprechauns after Tuesday’s 3-2 road loss. The Pacifics’ John Bicos hit a solo homer in the fourth and Fred Buxton scored on a sacrifice fly in the seventh, but San Rafael couldn’t overcome Dublin’s early lead. Pacifics starter Chris Wright took the loss, despite a solid effort through seven innings. He struck out four batters and walked two while allowing four hits and one earned run. The division-leading Pacifics are scheduled to host last-place Monterey (8-26-1) at Albert Park on Thursday.
