VA facility already a mess

The statement: “I didn’t think it would be this bad: Veterans worry VA cuts will hurt their care,” must be from those able to receive medical treatment. The VA is in dire need of restructuring with competent leaders in place. Veterans I’ve talked with refuse to seek medical treatment from the Dingell VA Center (in Detroit). One Vet wounded three times is unable to receive compensation, same for another’s loss of hearing, all denied. The complete process is so convoluted with requests for resubmitting paperwork, paperwork that in most cases can’t be obtained, or the request ignored. I hope DOGE finds a way for vets to receive aid and assistance long overdue instead of the VA waiting for time to the thin the ranks of applicants.

Social Security cuts not happening

President Trump had said he will not touch social security or Medicare. That is a Democratic rally point. Democratic voters need to talk to Washington-elected Democrats and work with President Trump on eliminating OT pay, no tax on tips, and no tax on Social Security. That is reaching across the aisle in bipartisanship and putting more money in the people’s pockets. That is what the Democrats could run on in 2026 if they really cared about their constituents. People don’t need checks from Washington just to buy a vote that (becomes) another tax to pay.
