93 Clinton, Maryland Catherine Margaret Black, 93, of Clinton MD, passed away in theloving careof her family on December 16,2024 in Laurel MD. Visitation will be at 11 with funeral service at 12 on Friday January 10 at Lee’s Mortuary, Clinton, MD.

Burial will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.

Catherine was born in Oakland, CA to parents Catherine Marshall and Joseph Driscoll on August 24,1931. She went toOakland High and graduated in 1935. She went ontonursing school at Providence Hospital in Oakland, CA.

She worked there and at Alexandria Hospital, Vafor more than 25 years. After caring forher children and her patients she volunteered at the local food pantry to continue giving.

She was an excellent seamstress and sewing club member, enjoying sewing herwhole life.

Catherine was preceded in death byher loving husband Walter, brother John, son Robert and daughter Sharon. Catherine is survived by her sister Marti Martin of Martinez, CA, son Dennis Black of San Leandro, CA, daughter Patty Redditt and husband Dan of Laurel, MDand nephew Joe Martin. Catherine had 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone who touched Catherine’s life and made itfull. She will be missed.
