Resident of San Jose

Don was born in San Francisco and attended schools at St. Anthony Grammar school, St. Ignatius HS ’52, USF with a B.S., teaching credential ’60 and his Masters at Stanford. His first teaching job was at Woodrow Jr.

High School. We packed up our bags from SF and moved to the country (San Jose). He then transferred to Pioneer HS and there he retired after 34 years of teaching. One of his joys was body surfing in Laguna Beach where we spent our anniversary every year. His other activities he enjoyed were fishing, gardening and reading. He was an avid sports fan rooting for the 49ers and the Giants.

Don was a lovely husband and is survived by his wife Kathy(68yrs.), he was a caring father to his children Karen(David), Michael and Matthew(Michelle), 6 grandsons Dustin, Kyle, Christopher(Ily), Jason, Hayden and Ben, and great granddaughter, Avia A celebration of life will be held.
