Boulder residents are prepping for the annual Tube to Work Day on July 12, in which they are encouraged to dress up in theme with the Mad Max series of movies.
The event is scheduled to start at 7:15 a.m. July 12 at Eben G. Fine Park, but participants are welcome to arrive near Central Park and join a stilt walker parade to Eben G. Fine Park.
Tickets for the event are live at tubetoworkday.com and participants, who must be 18 years or older, are required to wear their own closed-toe shoes, life jacket and helmet with a chin strap.
At 8:05 a.m., there will be an opening speech before the first wave of tubers will be cleared to begin tubing.
From 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., hot coffee, a light breakfast and a DJ dance party will be held at Central Park. Participants can then head to work at downtown offices or continue to tube onward from Central Park. On the website, organizers encouraged participants to wear wetsuits underneath their business attire or costumes.
