Mill Valley, CA
Robert "Bob" Baker died peacefully at home in Mill Valley on March 15, with his beloved wife of 65 years, Anna, by his side. Bob was born in San Francisco on February 28, 1930. After several years living in San Francisco, his family relocated to Burlingame. As a young adult he joined the US Navy. Soon after his service ended he met Anna, and they were married in 1958. They relocated to Mill Valley and spent many happy years there. Bob had a curious mind and loved reading books on anything which caught his fancy: philosophy, history, languages, and much more. He was a wonderful self-taught handyman and could fix almost any broken item which came his way. He loved photography, baking homemade bread, and working in his workshop creating beautiful wood carvings. He is survived by his wife Anna, his daughters Joan (Ken) and Jill (Gary), grandchildren April (Cody), Timothy (Yumi) and Zack, and great-granddaughters Tessa and Kayla. Bob loved his family and was so proud of us all. He will be greatly missed.
