• Troy Touch a Truck event is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 15, at Boulan Park, 3671 Crooks Road, Troy. Troy Fire Department, Police Department, and Department of Public Works trucks will be at the park. Pedal car race is at 1:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. start. Children will race in age groups: 3-4-year-olds, 5—6-year-olds, and 7—8-year-olds. Registration is $10 per racer and racers need to provide their own pedal-powered vehicle and bike helmet. Two other pedal car races will be held at events this summer.

• The City of Farmington Hills is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. June 12, at Costick Activities Center, 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills. • The Michigan Medicare Assistance Program is recruiting volunteers who want to help individuals and couples understand their Medicare options. Training is ongoing. • Sunset at the Zoo is 7 to 11 p.m. June 21. Annual fundraising gala with a strolling dinner, food trucks, open bar, and special access to the Detroit Zoo’s habitats, silent auction, live entertainment, live speed painting. • Shelving Inc., opened its highly anticipated tenth annual Shelving.com Business Scholarship contest, with a $4,000 first place scholarship, $2,500 second place scholarship, and $1,500 for the second runner-up. The scholarship program welcomes applications from Michigan residents who are currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, as well as high school seniors who have already enrolled or intend to enroll in college no later than the Fall 2024 semester. • Registration is open for Hospice of Michigan’s annual Camp Good Grief at YMCA Camp Ohiyesa in Holly. This free grief support program is for children aged 8-17, who have experienced the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether their loved one received care via Hospice of Michigan. Camp Good Grief runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19. The camp is free of charge, provides campers with breakfast, lunch and snacks and is run by qualified grief professionals, music therapists and volunteers from Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice.
