



During these warm days of summer, the two Huron-Clinton Metroparks locations in Macomb County offer live music. The Music at the Metroparks’ Summer Concert Series takes place 6:30-9 p.m. Sundays at the Thomas Welsh Activity Center at Lake St. Clair Metropark and 7-8:30 p.m. Fridays at Eastwood Beach at Stony Creek Metropark.
The July schedule for Lake St. Clair Metroparks includes:
• July 13 — Stone Blossoms (classic rock)
• July 20 — Brad Stuart (country music)
• July 27 — Gridiron & Friends (party music)
In addition, the Harrison Township park also hosts the Symphony By The Shores series, from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays during July. The shows kicked off last night with the Speakeasy Seven Dixieland Band. Upcoming performances include:
• July 15 — String Quartet
• July 22 — Woodwind Quintet
• July 29 — Brass Quintet
Over at Stony Creek Metropark, there’s plenty of music to be seen and heard 7-8:30 p.m. on select Fridays:
• July 11 — The Best of Billy & Elton
• July 25 — Led Detroit (Led Zeppelin tribute)
Concerts are free with a $10 daily vehicle pass.
Lake St. Clair Metropark is at 31300 Metro Parkway, Harrison Township, while Stony Creek Metropark is at 4300 Main Park Road (off 26 Mile Road), Shelby Township.
