MARINERS 15, TIGERS 7 Randy Arozarena homered and scored four times as Seattle defeated Detroit. Arozarena singled and scored in the second, was hit by a pitch and scored on Luke Raley’s homer in the third, and singled and scored in the seventh before hitting a two-run homer in the eighth.

TWINS 12, PIRATES 4 All-Star center fielder Byron Buxton hit for the cycle, completing it with a solo home run in the seventh inning, and Minnesota routed Pittsburgh. Buxton hit a single in the first inning, a triple in the second and a double in the third. He singled again in the fifth. Facing Pirates reliever Andrew Heaney in the seventh inning, Buxton hit a solo homer 427 feet to center field to complete the cycle — the first at Target Field since it opened in 2010.

RED SOX 1, RAYS 0 All-Star Garrett Crochet pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts for his first career shutout and complete game, leading Boston past Tampa Bay for its ninth straight victory METS 3, ROYALS 1 Juan Soto homered to lead New York past Kansas City. Soto’s two-run shot into the right field fountains opened the scoring in the fourth. Over his last 20 games, Soto has nine home runs and 19 RBIs.

BREWERS 6, NATIONALS 5 Caleb Durbin hit an RBI single with one out in the ninth inning to cap a three-run rally and give Milwaukee its sixth consecutive victory over Washington.

GUARDIANS 6, WHITE SOX 2 Kyle Manzardo hit a go-ahead home run and All-Star Steven Kwan drove in two runs to help Cleveland beat Chicago. Manzardo’s solo shot in the sixth gave the Guardians a 3-2 lead and helped Tanner Bibee secure his first win since May 22.

PADRES 5, PHILLIES 4 Jackson Merrill broke out of a slump with two home runs off All- Star Zack Wheeler, and Manny Machado hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the seventh inning for San Diego, who won its second straight game against Philadelphia.

ASTROS 5, RANGERS 4 (11) Zack Short hit a walk-off RBI single in the 11th inning to end Houston’s four-game losing streak with a victory over Texas.
