Richard A. Wester (99), loving husband and father, is survived by wife Alice, children: Robert J. Wester, David (Marcia) Wester, Kathleen A. Wester (Gary Ellerman), Stephen A. Wester; grandchildren: Stephen J. Wester, Annie Wester Jones, James Wester, Matthew Wester, Nicholas (Ning) Wester, John Wester, Michael Wester; great grandchildren: Henry Jackson Jones, Evelyn Alice Jones, Leonidas Wester; and 2 nieces: Anne Brandt and Karen Kloverstrom.<br><br>Born and raised in Denver, he attended the University of Colorado and University of California, Berkeley and graduated from Columbia School of Engineering and the Chrysler Institute of Automotive Engineering. He served as a destroyer officer in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He owned Wester Tool and Machine Company until he retired in 1993.<br><br>He was married to Alice, the love of his life, for 75 years. He was an avid reader, a quick wit, a chess player, and loved to hike and ski. He will be remembered as a loving husband and a father who held his family and his faith close to his heart.<div></div><br>
