San Rafael police officers arrested two teenagers who were allegedly involved in an armed robbery at a bike path.

The robbery was reported around 7 p.m. Monday at the path that parallels Highway 101 and Lincoln Avenue near Paloma Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Officers detained two suspects near the corner of Fourth and Hetherton streets, police Sgt. Justin Graham said. Police found allegedly stolen property and a loaded, unserialized handgun hidden behind a tree.

One of the teens had been arrested on robbery allegations last month, Graham said.

A 16-year-old suspect was arrested on allegations of armed robbery, carrying a concealed firearm, possessing a firearm without a serial number, conspiracy and being a minor in possession of a firearm. The other suspect, 17, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

Both suspects were booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall. Authorities did not disclose their names because they are under 18 years old.

Police are looking for a third person who was involved in the alleged robbery.
