Lots of kids who love basketball dream about becoming a Detroit Piston?

Now they can, for a day.

Michigan children ages 7-12 have the chance to find out by entering the sixth annual #MIKidsCan Detroit Pistons Kids Day Sweepstakes to win an opportunity to go behind the scenes of a Pistons game day.

“Encouraging children to build healthy habits, like eating nutritious foods and being active for at least 60 minutes a day, is extremely important to us at Blue Cross,” said Andrew Hetzel, vice president of corporate communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in Friday’s press release.

“We understand the significance of enjoyable, unforgettable experiences in nurturing a child’s growth, and this collaboration with the Detroit Pistons provides just that,” he added.

Thirty kids will be selected to participate in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Detroit Pistons #MIKidsCan Pistons Kids Day, which will provide winners with an opportunity to get an in-depth look into various roles and responsibilities and experience working with a staff member for the day.

Pistons Kids Day will be held Feb. 2 during the Pistons game against the Chicago Bulls.

Each winner will receive a co-branded Kids Day t-shirt, participate in a pre-game event at Little Caesars Arena with lunch and a Hooper mascot meet-and-greet.

And it’s not just a great day for them.

Each winner will receive four complimentary game tickets for their family.

Various kids’ activities and giveaways will also take place throughout the day and during the game.

This is the sixth year in a row that 30 lucky Michigan families will benefit from this exclusive program.

Parents can enter their children in the #MIKidsCan Pistons Kids Day Sweepstakes now through Jan. 22 at nba.com/pistons/pistons-kids-day
