Skylar was born sharing a womb and a room with her identical twin in Ft Smith, AR. She moved to CO at 8 and went to Denver School of the Arts 6-12. She graduated in 2016 and became an artist participating in multiple art shows. She worked with a variety of media including digital, sewing, drawing, acrylic, watercolor, markers and more. She loved spending time with her twin. She also enjoyed travel, concerts, movies, manga, music, anime, making art and was learning Japanese. Skylar lived fearlessly with humor all the time. Her passion, smile, vibrant and thoughtful self will be missed by friends, family and her dog Penelope Badass Unicorn(yes Skylar’s choice). Grandmother Bobbie Young and mother Jean Anne Bell preceded Skylar.
She leaves behind her father Donovan Arterburn III, stepmom Jennifer Arterburn, sisters Madison Arterburn, Bellamy Arterburn, twin Savannah Ray Arterburn, auntie Heather Arterburn, grandparents Donovan Arterburn Jr and Melba (Brown) Arterburn-Frye. Skylar suffered a major stroke.
ART SHOW and Celebration of Life will be March 31, 2025 7pm-10pm at Redline Contemporary Art Center 2350 Arapahoe St., Denver, CO. Skylar’s requested dress theme if you wish is goth, punk or drag. All are welcome to come and go, it is an ART SHOW!
