In Loving Memory

In one year remembrance of Gilbert Lopez who sadly passed away on February 25, 2022 at age 82.

Gil grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and was a resident of Walnut Creek. He graduated from Berkeley High School in 1958, joined the Air Force and was stationed in Albany, Georgia. During his time in Albany, he met his beautiful wife Barbara and they shared 61 years of marriage before his passing.

Gil was an avid car enthusiast and commercial fisherman hobbyist. After retiring from management at East Bay Regional Parks, he kept his love of cars alive by assisting son Leonard with his custom car business. Family was of utmost importance to Gil and he chose to spend as much time as possible with his wife, 3 adult children, their spouses, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

We will miss you Papa and you will forever be in our hearts. Rest in Peace!
