Ravens’ Andrews ‘absolutely gutted’ >> Mark Andrews is “absolutely gutted by what happened” in last weekend’s divisional playoff loss at Buffalo, the veteran Baltimore Ravens tight end said in a social media post.
A wide-open Andrews dropped a potential tying 2-point conversion in the final two minutes of the Ravens’ 27-25 loss to the Bills, failing to secure a pass from Lamar Jackson that hit him in the chest as he slid to the icy turf.
“It’s impossible to adequately express how I feel. I’m absolutely gutted by what happened on Sunday. I’m devastated for my teammates, my coaches and Ravens fans,” Andrews posted on Instagram.
Jaguars interviewing Bucs OC Coen after all >> The Jacksonville Jaguars are interviewing Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Liam Coen for their head coaching job after all, the latest turn in a covert operation that included owner Shad Khan moving on from general manager Trent Baalke and Coen reversing course with the Buccaneers.
Khan fired Baalke on Wednesday and cleared a path for Coen to get to Jacksonville. Coen initially declined an in-person interview with the Jaguars because of Baalke, who has a less-than-ideal reputation in league circles.
Coen instead agreed to a new contract with Tampa Bay. But Coen never showed up to sign the deal and somewhat secretly traveled to Jacksonville to meet with Khan.
