Feltner will make the penultimate start of his up-and-down season. After making 22 starts without notching a winning decision, he’s won two of his last three and is 2-0 with a 1.96 ERA in three September starts. However, his home/road splits remain dramatic. He has a 5.76 ERA at Coors Field vs. a 3.93 ERA on the road. The right-hander has faced the Cardinals twice in his career, going 1-0 with a 4.09 ERA. He faced the Cardinals on June 8 in St. Louis, allowing four runs on two hits with seven strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings. Feltner got a no-decision, but Colorado won the game, 6-5.

McGreevy, a 24-year-old rookie, is coming off three scoreless relief innings in St. Louis’ 10-6 win over the Pirates. He allowed just two hits. It was the first relief appearance of his pro career. He earned his first big-league victory as a starter against the Rangers on July 31. The Cardinals selected him in the first round (18th overall) of the 2021 draft. He’s never faced the Rockies.
