Da Bears. How long can we put up with Nagy? To not score a touchdown in an NFL game is ludicrous. They are a team with no direction. Look forward to a disaster season.

Ted Slowik’s column about our democracy being in trouble is spot on. Abetted by the myth and fantasy spewed by Fox (Faux) News, the big lie about election fraud lives on and is used as an excuse to restrict voting in many states. And to Jim of Oak Forest and his “proved fact” that all media except Fox are very liberal. Well the only fact is that truth and fact do seem to have a liberal bias.

I see another state trooper’s vehicle was hit on the shoulder by a truck driver. Why are so many truck drivers hitting state trooper vehicles parked on the shoulder? Don’t they know to move over?

The big corporations and utilities don’t get it. The increase in minimum wages was supposed to come out of your excessive profits and unconscionable inflated CEO pay, not from inflationary price rises on products and services. You are the broken supply chain. Fix it now. You are so big and powerful you don’t have to rely on so-called supply and demand theory. No one cares what consumers want or can afford anymore. Tax the rich has to have teeth. For those corporations doing business in the USA, we must tax profits over and above a rational and socially responsible return on investment.

Regarding our love and enjoyment of fast food restaurants, specifically drive thru restaurants. I frequent a lot of them, McDonald’s, Wendys, Culver’s. I notice most of the people working there are teenagers or young college students. I always think that if I can afford to buy fast food, I should be able to give them a tip, no matter how small it is. Please think of the workers, there because they need the money. Please give them some thought and some of your spare change.
