Billy D. Swain passed away peacefully at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN on 11/10/2024 at the age of 82. Billy was born in Waterloo, Iowa. He was on his own at a very young age and embarked on a career in hospitality and the service industry. Billy was a restaurant manager, caddie, houseman, food buyer, bartender, bar owner, executive secretary, and overall host extraordinaire. He mostly enjoyed his time as Maitre d’ at the Hopkins House. His deep voice was easily recognizable and he was often seen navigating the streets of Eagan on his royal blue electric scooter!<br><br>His generosity was felt by many.<br><br>He could put a smile on anyone’s face with his stories and quick wit.<br><br>Billy D. loved the Lord and was looking forward to seeing his dear friends Curt and Laurie Beireis, his mother Elizabeth, and sister Barbara Ann. He is survived by his sons Donald (Kris) Swain and William (Carol) Swain. A special thanks to his Care Manager and friend, Cari Waller, who helped Billy D. stay independent until his life here on earth was complete. The family held a service at Trinity Lone Oak Lutheran Church in Eagan.<div></div><br>
