Vehicle pursuit/arrest: On Jan. 12 at 1:03 a.m., an officer located a stolen Kia Soul being driven in the area of Main Street and Cottonwood Street. The officer attempted to conduct a high-risk stop and the driver of the vehicle failed to yield. The driver led officers on a pursuit on surface streets for approximately 13 minutes until they reached the City of Davis on County Road 98. CHP took over as the primary unit and a Woodland Police K-9 Unit stayed in the pursuit as it continued into Yolo County. Officers from the Winters Police Department were able to deploy a spike strip on the vehicle. The vehicle stopped shortly after. A high-risk stop was conducted and the driver, a 15-year-old male was arrested. An 18-year-old adult male West Sacramento resident, Justice Cardon was placed under arrest as well. The 15-year-old was booked into the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Facility for possession of a stolen vehicle, evading, conspiracy, and a felony warrant. Cardon was booked into the Yolo County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy.

HOST

HOST was short-staffed due to injury, and vacations. HOST made 45 contacts and offered services to 38 individuals, five accepted services. HOST tagged 25 camps and cleaned up 14 camps. 12 downtown patrols were completed.
