San Rafael

Francesca Maria Bonacci of San Rafael, California passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025.

Franca, as she was known to family and friends, was born in 1931 in Decollatura, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1950 and settled in Utah, where she graduated with a degree in Education. She devoted her entire career of over 35 years teaching kindergarten and elementary schools in Utah and California. She loved young children and with her good sense of humor. She was highly regarded as a favorite teacher in the Novato School District. Franca took pride in her Valentine, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas ornaments. She loved decorating her home and classroom for the holidays.

She married Aurelio (Ray) Bonacci in 1957, her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life. They moved to California where they resided in San Francisco and San Rafael. Franca lived in San Rafael for 63 years.
