Braves 7, Padres 1: Ronald Acuña Jr. homered for the second straight game in his return from a nearly year-long absence due to a knee injury, leading Atlanta to a win over visiting San Diego, which lost for the seventh time in eight games.

Acuña homered on the first pitch he saw in his season debut Friday. On Saturday, he hit a 411-foot, two-run shot to left field off reliever Alek Jacob in the sixth inning.

Matt Olson hit his fifth homer in seven games for the Braves, whose Grant Holmes (3-3) gave up one run in seven innings.

Yankees 13, Rockies 1: Max Fried threw 7 1/3 sharp innings and New York broke open a tight game with a 10-run fifth to beat host Colorado.

Fried (7-0) tied Arizona’s Brandon Pfaadt for the major league lead in wins. The lefty scattered six hits and gave up one run.

The 10-run inning included two-run doubles from Austin Wells and Trent Grisham.

Aaron Judge hit his MLB-leading 18th homer in the first inning. The Yankees had 21 hits.

Reds 6, Cubs 4: Elly De La Cruz homered and drove in four runs and Cincinnati topped visiting Chicago to end a four-game losing streak.

Justin Turner and Michael Kelly homered as the Cubs had a three-game win streak snapped.

Twins 5, Royals 4: Brooks Lee hit an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Minnesota a win against Kansas City.

Harrison Bader and Kody Clemens homered as the Twins won for the 16th time in 18 games.

Cardinals 6, Diamondbacks 5: Jordan Walker had two hits and drove in three runs to lift St. Louis to a home win over Arizona.

The Diamondbacks lost their fourth straight.

Astros 2, Mariners 1: Houston scored two runs in the first inning on errors by Seattle and held on for a home win.

Framber Valdez (4-4) allowed four hits and a run while tying a season high with four walks in six innings to win his third straight decision.

Mariners starter Bryan Woo (5-2), out of Alameda High, allowed nine hits, but struck out five and didn’t allow an earned run in six innings.

Pirates 2, Brewers 1: Oneil Cruz tripled home Isiah Kiner-Falefa with two outs in the seventh inning and Pittsburgh edged visiting Milwaukee.

White Sox 10, Rangers 5: Andrew Benintendi hit a two-run double in a six-run sixth inning and host Chicago handed Texas its sixth consecutive loss.
