The Chicago White Sox, at best, are a .500 baseball team. They have no playoff hopes. Why all the hoopla? Tell it like it is.

I really miss the late Sen. John McCain being the only Republican to speak up when he heard damaging reports such as the recent one that said President Donald Trump agreed with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who said former Vice President Joe Biden had a low IQ. For Trump to criticize one of our former vice presidents overseas was simply degrading. May McCain rest in peace. If he was still alive, he would have spoken out to let the world know that how Trump acts is not who we are.

The National Guard should have been sent in to Chicago to help with crime years ago. Former Mayor Rahm Emanuel refused to ask for this. Now Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she would never ask for help. Therefore, Mike, of Chicago, I agree with you. Lightfoot is in a dream world. Chicago needs the National Guard. The National Guard’s presence might hurt with attracting tourists but the troops will help curb crime. It was good that more police officers were hired but Chicago almost needs an officer on every corner to help end crime. No neighborhood is safe.
