Ryan Gosling is headed to another alternate universe with his next big role.

The Oscar-nominated “Barbie” star has been tapped for the lead role of “Star Wars: Starfighter,” expected to hit theaters in 2027.

The casting news was announced by director Shawn Levy on Friday at Star Wars Celebration 2025 near Tokyo.

“One of those rumors I heard that I do need to dispel is, I had heard at one point that my movie was going to star Ryan Gosling and believe me, that would be a dream come true for me. So today, I just wanted to tell you here in this room that that rumor is 100% true,” the filmmaker said onstage ahead of Gosling’s surprise appearance as fans cheered.

The film is scheduled to begin production this fall. According to the studio, it is set five years after the events of “Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker,” which was released in 2019.

Christie Brinkley talks about work on her face

Christie Brinkley is getting candid about how much cosmetic work she’s had done over the years and which procedures she relies on to maintain her look.

“I mainly do lasers,” she told People. “I don’t try to get rid of every wrinkle.”

When it comes to plastic surgery, Brinkley said, she’s kept it at a minimum but doesn’t avoid cosmetic procedures altogether.

“I’ve dabbled with fillers,” she continued. “I don’t want to look ‘done’ or anything. I just did Fraxel (laser resurfacing) because I had skin cancer and that helps get rid of precancerous cells. It’s mainly about health for me now.”

The 71-year-old will release her memoir, “Uptown Girl,” this month.

Britney spears ‘butchered’ my hit, says Bobby Brown

Bobby Brown is sharing his real thoughts on Britney Spears remaking his biggest hit.

The Grammy-winning R&B star revealed Wednesday that he didn’t care for the pop sensation’s cover of his 1988 song “My Prerogative.”

During an interview on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, host Shannon Sharpe asked Brown which artist he thought did the best job sampling his music.

“I don’t think they really did justice to any of the samples. Like, Britney Spears butchered ‘My Prerogative,’ ” he said of her 2004 cover. “Teddy Riley produced it. But that was a butchering. I couldn’t take it.”

The 56-year-old said he was initially on board with the idea of Spears covering the song because he thought she would “wow” him. But she didn’t, he said, causing him to become wary of giving new artists his blessing for redoing his songs.
