Tinley Park announced the winning entries in the village's 18th annual Downtown Tinley Park Irish Parade, which was held Sunday.

The parade's grand marshal was Andrew High School Principal Robert Nolting, who was named principal of the year for the 2016-17 school year by the Illinois Principals Association.

More than 80 entrants took part in the parade, the village said Thursday in a news release.

For walking groups, the Tinley Park Bobcats youth sports organization took first prize, while the Tinley Park Bulldogs baseball and softball teams were in second, and third place went to Tinley Park Veterans.

In the category of professional floats, Durbin's restaurant took first, while Heat and Frost Local 17 and the Tinley Park-Park District were second and third, respectively.

Chicago Gaelic Park took first place in the category of amateur floats, Freedom Farms was second and Parents for Progress placed third.

In the category of decorated vehicles, first place went to Easter Seals, second place to Bourbon Street and third place to Mr. D's Magic.

Tinley Park Bulldogs Cheer was the first-place winner in the performance category, while TNT Extreme Dance placed second and the Blackbird Academy of Irish Dance placed third.

All winners received a ribbon and a certificate, and first-place winners also received a gift card.
