She always knew that she was making a positive difference in the lives of her elementary students, and many came back to see her over the years and share their grownup success stories with her. Marge married Henry E. Klages on July 31, 1959. They had two children: John C. Klages and Karen Klages, a teacher at John Muir High School. Marge’s son died August 10, 1989 and her husband died in 1990.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Klages, sister Beverly Halgren of Muskegon, Michigan, brother George Bakker and wife Roberta of Terre Haute, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews: Cheryl and Gary Maners of Terre Haute, Indiana, Samantha Maners and Andrew Maners of Los Angeles, and Chris and Brandy Bakker, Cassie Bakker and Ella Bakker of Beavercreek, Ohio.
