Loosen your belts and get ready to dive into barbecue and the world of anime with the opening of the latest Chubby Cattle BBQ spot in Cerritos.
The all-you-can-eat, Japanese-style barbecue chain is expected to open its fifth Southern California location at 11203 183rd St. in Cerritos this month.
“We’re excited to bring the Chubby Cattle BBQ experience to Cerritos. Southern California is known for its adventurous food lovers, and we believe our take on wagyu barbecue, blending authenticity, innovation, and premium ingredients, will truly resonate with the local community,” said David Zhao, co-founder of Chubby Group, in a statement.
The restaurant will feature the growing chain’s offerings of Japanese-style yakiniku barbecue, where guests can grill wagyu beef and other options at their tables.
The menu also includes sushi and hand rolls, seafood and Japanese desserts.
And there will also be some eye candy for fans of anime since the Cerritos location’s decor is inspired by Japanese animation. So expect colorful characters, custom artwork and whimsical décor.
The new spot joins locations in Rowland Heights, Little Tokyo, Monterey Park and Rosemead. It will be open from noon to 11 p.m. daily.
