Treatment-Mandated Felony Arrest: On Jan. 1 at around 6:42 p.m., officers conducted a vehicle stop on the 1900 block of East Beamer Street after seeing and identifying the driver as 65-year-old Woodland resident Steve Botello. Botello was known to have multiple warrants for his arrest. During the arrest, officers located several grams of methamphetamine. Officers checked Botello’s prior arrests and determined he had multiple drug-related convictions. Botello was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for the active warrants and possession of a controlled substance with prior convictions.

Repeat Thefts Arrest: On Jan. 2 at 11:40 a.m., loss prevention associated with a business located on the 2100 block of Bronze Star Drive reported a male stealing merchandise in the store. Officers contacted 35-year-old Woodland resident Carl Fore, Jr. Fore, Jr. was found to be in possession of stolen merchandise. Officers checked Fore, Jr.’s prior arrests and determined he had multiple theft related convictions. Fore, Jr. was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for shoplifting and theft with prior convictions.

Grand Theft Arrest: On Jan. 4 at around 4:41 p.m., loss prevention associated with a business located on the 2100 block of Bronze Star Drive reported a female stealing multiple video games. Officers contacted 22-year-old Woodland resident Rory Tunstall. Tunstall had a local bench warrant for her arrest and was in possession of eighteen stolen video games worth over $1,000. Tunstall was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for the warrants and grand theft.

HOST made 73 contacts and offered services to 28 individuals, four accepted services. HOST tagged 20 camps and cleaned up 10. HOST conducted eight downtown patrols.

HOST has actively responded to the community requests for camping issues. Multiple complaints have come in for the northwest side of the East Gum over State Highway 113 overcrossing. Over the course of two weeks, HOST has been able to remove two large truckloads of discarded items from the area. As a result, the community member making the request noted HOST should be “commended for initiative” and “followed through on what would happen and when.”
