Nominations sought for Volunteers of Year
The Macomb County Board of Commissioners is seeking nominations for its annual Volunteers of the Year awards to pay tribute to those who contribute their time and energy for others. Nominations are due March 7 for commissioners to select 26 volunteers — two from each district — who will be recognized at the April board meeting during National Volunteer Recognition Month.
“Through their inspirational endeavors and invaluable services, these volunteers promote unity and resilience among the residents of Macomb County,” officials said in a press release announcing the 36th year of the program.
To be considered for recognition, the volunteer must either reside in or have performed 150 hours of service in 2024 that benefitted Macomb County.
The nomination form and additional information can be found on the board’s website at bocmacomb.org.
