The Associates of the Ontario Museum of History & Art will hold a museum store overstock sale 6-9 p.m. Aug. 17 during the quarterly Ontario Art Walk.
The “yard sale” outside the museum will offer a variety of books — art, history and children’s — as well as old-fashioned toys, beginner’s quilting kits and some artwork, all for at least a 50% discount. A number of 40- and 50-year-old posters from the old Ontario Motor Speedway will also be available for sale, according to a news release.
Funds generated by the store go to the nonprofit Associates’ educational programs for the museum.
The Associates’ store usually offers a variety of educational and entertainment items for sale to visitors, but the Aug. 17 event will feature overstocked goods.
During the Ontario Art Walk, the Downtown Ontario Arts District hosts open studios, gallery exhibitions and extended store hours. For information, go to OntarioArtWalk.org.
