DENVER >> Jacob Wilson atoned for hitting into a triple play with a two-run double that sent the Athletics on their way to a 7-4 win over the struggling Colorado Rockies on Saturday night.

Wilson’s double in the sixth dropped on the left-field line and gave the A’s the lead after trailing 3-0. In the second inning, Wilson sent a chopper to Ryan McMahon that the Rockies third baseman turned into a 5-4-3 triple play.

It was the first time the Athletics have hit into a triple play since June 20, 2021, at the Yankees.
