In the Div. 3 preliminary round, No. 32 St. Mary’s (11-6) registered its first boys tennis postseason win since 2019 as it defeated No. 33 Ludlow 5-0.

Singles players Thomas Shea (6-2, 6-2), Stephen Nason (7-6 , 6-3) and Jason Spaulding (6-2, 6-1) as well as doubles teams Thomas Weber & Wes Georges (6-3, 6-3) and Simon Tenorio & Ryan Gil (6-4, 6-4) all swept.

Colin Fleet and Will Rumsey each swept their matches as No. 30 Durfee (14-6) defeated No. 35 Medford 4-1 in a Div. 1 preliminary round contest.

No. 32 Whitman-Hanson (7-12) advanced to the first-round of the Div. 2 tournament with a 3-2 win over No. 33 Bridgewater-Raynham. The Panthers rolled in doubles as Connor Thomas/Logan Peterson and Eoin Flynn/James Denton won in straight sets.

Trevor Engel of Shawsheen defeated Marc Taboucherani of Fellowship Academy 8-3 to win the Commonwealth Athletic Conference championship. The Shawsheen duo of Joe Fennelly and Hunter Holloway defeated teammates Teddy Buzynski and Josh Powderly 9-7 to win the CAC doubles title. In mixed doubles, Maria Rosario and James Burgos of Greater Lawrence beat Ella Haynes and Matt Kilfoyle of Shawsheen, 8-5.

Girls tennis

Shawsheen’s Faith Martin of Shawsheen won the CAC singles title with an 8-3 win over Giday Sanchez of Greater Lawrence. In the doubles final, Isobel and Chloe Callahan of Fellowship Academy beat Meredith Black and Avery Robichaud of Fellowship Academy, 8-1.

Boys lacrosse

In the Small Vocational State Tournament semifinals, Mario LaRosa notched four goals and two assists, while James Hoey added another four goals to lead South Shore Tech to an 11-1 win over Old Colony.

Girls lacrosse

In the Vocational State Tournament semifinals, Addison Carbone (five goals), Emma Finch (four goals, two assists), and Maddie Golden (three goals, two assists) paced Greater Lowell (13-4) to a 12-8 victory over Monty Tech.
