Rubble from a newly built concrete median awaits removal last week from along 131st Street east of LaGrange Road in Palos Park. Officials said a mistake at the median involving about 500 feet of concrete will cost $47,000 to fix. ( Ted Slowik/Daily Southtown )
Am I too old because I remember when President Bill Clinton went on national TV to tell the world that he lied about his sexual affair with his intern?????? I see Bill Clinton, citizen, going around telling people to vote for his wife. My question is why should anyone believe him, he being an exposed and confessed liar? That is what a jury is told when the prosecution brings out a convict/inmate to court to testify.

We don't need to hear any more from or about Trump. He is simply a person without integrity or purpose other than to provide himself with immediate gratification.

Why is it just OK to say mistakes happen when $47,000 of our money is being spent. Orland spends thousands of dollars to hire mangers, planners, and designers to get something like this wrong. “Oops” isn't OK with our money. Somebody besides the taxpayers needs to be held accountable to pick up this mistake. LaGrange Road has the same mess with the absence of getting to businesses on the opposite side of the street. They've created a monster. Get our money back from the “planners”.

The current national debt is close to $20 trillion. Back when the current president ran against George Bush, he proclaimed that Bush pulled out the country's “credit card” and ran up a $9 trillion deficit. Well, do the math folks. Now, do you have a picture of what continuing the Democratic regime will mean for the country? All that free stuff costs all of us and will certainly burden our children's children. Give up your “one issue” voting criteria and see the big picture!

Thank you, Palos Park for trimming trees and for the vegetation on West 125th Street. We are very often forgotten west of LaGrange in many ways. This was a treat.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if instead of giving all the millions to foreign countries, we used that money to take care of our veterans and seniors.
Just saying.

If you want people of substance to admire instead of smug actors, overpaid pro athletes, talentless rappers, and reality fame mayflies, admire the team of health professionals who recently separated conjoined twins in a 20-plus-hour operation. The skill, patience and stamina to accomplish such a medical feat far surpasses any of the accomplishments of today's pseudo-celebrities.

To our political candidates from a member of the working class. Intelligence is no guarantee of flawless performance based on good sound judgment. Even highly intelligent educated people make mistakes.
