While Erie boys lacrosse’s success was unmatched in Boulder County and its surrounding area this year, five of the six local teams had plenty to smile about when CHSAA’s all-state lists came out. The Class 4A state champions, naturally, took the reins of that representation with nine selections.

Erie senior attacker Liam Connors sat atop 4A as the CHSAA and BoCoPreps.com player of the year, netting 61 goals while dishing out 36 assists. He was joined on first team by senior defender Hudsin DenHartog (30 ground balls, 27 takeaways), senior midfielder Ashton Karch (.749 faceoff percentage), senior attacker Charlie O’Brien (51 goals, 29 assists) and junior middy Cooper Riley (20 goals, 36 ground balls).

The Tigers didn’t stop there. They enjoyed second-team selections for sophomore goalie Sam Beach (135 saves) and junior defender Aidan Hill (25 ground balls, 20 takeaways), as well as honorable mentions for sophomore defender Braylon Englehart (44 ground balls, 34 takeaways) and senior attacker Davis Mundy (38 goals, 25 assists).

Holy Family’s Landon Peters enjoyed a spot on 4A’s honorable mention thanks to the 50 goals and 19 assists that he accrued over the season.

Monarch made the most noise with its selections in 5A, thanks to its first teamers in senior defender Will Herzig (178 ground balls, 197 faceoffs won) and junior middy Flynn Leonard (58 goals, 20 assists). Senior defender Thomas Perkins (48 ground balls, 65 takeaways) and senior middy Tommy Roberts (39 goals, 48 ground balls) followed suit on second team.

Fairview made the 5A postseason, a berth spurred by second-team sophomore attacker Kai Modica (38 goals, 22 assists) and senior defender Michael Dickinson-Tooman (35 ground balls, 19 takeaways), who earned a place on honorable mention.

Junior attacker Luke Nathan enjoyed the lone nod for Boulder on 5A honorable mention, thanks to his 33 goals and 23 assists.
