Kristaps Porzingis had 32 points and 13 rebounds and the host Washington Wizards boosted their flickering postseason hopes with a 130-111 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

The Wizards won despite the absence of Bradley Beal (left knee soreness) and Kyle Kuzma (right ankle sprain) and pulled within 2 1/2 games of Chicago for the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference. Washington has six games remaining in the regular season.

The Celtics had their three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 2 1/2 games behind Milwaukee for the top record in the NBA. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 28 points.

hornets 137, thunder 134 >> P.J. Washington scored 22 of his career-high 43 points in the fourth quarter and visiting Charlotte rallied to beat Oklahoma City. Three Oklahoma City players scored career highs — Isaiah Joe with 33 points and Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams with 31 each. The loss means the Lakers are in ninth alone in the Western Conference at 37-38; OKC is tied with Dallas at 37-39.

warriors 120, pelicans 109 >> Steph Curry scored 39 points, making 8 of 15 from deep to lead host Golden State. With the victory, the Warriors (40-37) moved into sixth place in the Western Conference standings by themselves, a half-game ahead of the seventh-place Minnesota Timberwolves. New Orleans (38-38) remained in eighth. The Pelicans were led by Brandon Ingram’s 26 points.

hawks 120, cavaliers 118 >> Dejounte Murray sank three free throws with 2:14 remaining to give host Atlanta the lead and added a fallaway jumper with less than a minute left. Murray led the Hawks with 29 points. The Hawks remained tied with Toronto for the eighth-best record in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland was led by Donovan Mitchell’s 44 points.

raptors 106, heat 92 >> Pascal Siakam scored 26 points and Scottie Barnes had 22 points and a career-high 12 assists for host Toronto. O.G. Anunoby added 22 points for the Raptors. Miami played without leading scorer Jimmy Butler (sore neck). Tyler Herro led the Heat with 33 points and Bam Adebayo had 21 points and 12 rebounds.

grizzlies 113, magic 108 >> Desmond Bane scored 31 points and made 8 of 10 free throws down the stretch for host Memphis. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 25 points, including nine in the final 1:10, and Paolo Banchero added 24. Xavier Tillman had 20 points for Memphis.
