A Cedar Lake man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Tuesday, according to police.

Robert Sulzberger, 37, was hit by a northbound vehicle about 4:30 a.m. in the 8900 block of Wicker Avenue, police said.

Due to the severity of Sulzberger’s injuries, police requested the Lake County Accident Reconstruction Team conduct the investigation and document the scene.

The Lake County coroner’s office said Sulzberger, who was a pedestrian, suffered blunt force trauma injuries.
