Trump, Constitution
I’m looking forward to the comments from Trump apologists on why Trump didn’t know whether he had to follow the Constitution — you know, that thing he swore an oath to uphold.
Trump, Alcatraz
• For the first time in my life, I agree with Donald Trump. Open up Alcatraz again, and then move yourself and your administration into the west wing, and you’ll feel more at home, because that’s where you all belong.
• Felon Trump should be the first inmate in his new Alcatraz.
Offended?
Regarding “Offended”: So you’re saying that because Trump calls people names, it gives you the right to act the same? That’s what people do when they idolize someone. I simply asked others to take the moral route and use intelligent conversation to make a point. Our differences make life interesting. No need to make it ugly.
Common sense
I think one of the reasons there is so much Trump hatred is because he operates from a position of common sense. And from my experience, knowing many Democrats, I find this is something they have a lot of trouble dealing with.
Greenland, Ukraine
Trump says he won’t rule out using force to control Greenland. Is that like Putin controlling Ukraine?
Cinco de Mayo, Aztecs, Columbus
FYI, Cinco de Mayo does not celebrate the Aztecs. It marks the anniversary of the 1862 victory of Mexican troops over invading French forces at the Battle of Puebla. That was on the next page of the Daily Times-Call. Columbus, on the other hand, encountered a population of friendly indigenous peoples when he first set foot in Hispaniola. He wrote about their physical build and lack of weapons and acknowledged that they would be good servants. He forced them into slavery, cut off their limbs for punishment and murdered them for defiance. He was even arrested by the Spanish government for his cruelty. Just one example of historical fact.
