Lesnar claims CSU’s first outdoor title since 2005
Mya Lesnar is a national champion — again.
And this time, the CSU senior did it at Hayward Field to become the Rams’ first outdoor national champ in 20 years.
Lesnar, the NCAA indoor shot put national champion in 2024, won the same event at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships on Thursday in Eugene, Ore., with a throw of 19.01 meters.
She came into this week’s meet as the top seed in the shot put and didn’t disappoint.
The daughter of WWE star Brock Lesnar hit the winning mark on her very first throw and was the only competitor to top 19 meters in the event.
The last Rams outdoor national champion, Loree Smith, won the hammer throw in 2005.

The teams completed the deal Thursday. The Rangers are getting center prospect Carey Terrance and a third-round pick from the Ducks for Kreider and a fourth-round pick, plus the salary cap space they can use this summer.
Kreider, 34, agreed earlier in the day to waive his no-trade clause to accept the move.
Mets ace Kodai Senga headed for injured list
NEW YORK>> Mets pitcher Kodai Senga, the major league ERA leader, will be placed on the injured list after straining his right hamstring in Thursday’s 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals.
Senga allowed just two baserunners through the first 5 1/3 innings before racing to cover first on CJ Abrams’ grounder to Pete Alonso. According to New York manager Carlos Mendoza, Senga said he felt his hamstring grab one stride before he made a leaping grab of Alonso’s high throw.

Pulisic calls criticism ‘out of line,’ offered to play in friendlies, skip Gold Cup
American star Christian Pulisic says while he decided to skip the CONCACAF Gold Cup, U.S. coaches turned down his offer to play in friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland because they wanted one roster for all games.
“You can talk about my performances, whatever you want, but to question my commitment especially toward the national team, in my opinion that’s way out of line,” Pulisic said.
Pulisic played about 120 games for AC Milan and the U.S. over the past two seasons.
